An established on-site infrastructure engineering team in Gloucester is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to provide hands-on support across mission critical, highly secure government environments. You'll manage complex on-premises platforms - resolving incidents, implementing changes, and driving continuous improvement to ensure availability, resilience and compliance at the highest classification levels. This is a rare opportunity to work on genuinely impactful national security programmes in a cleared, fast-paced operational environment, embedded directly with an end customer team.

Responsibilities:

  • Own incident resolution, change implementation and scheduled maintenance across secure, mission critical environments.
  • Implement approved technical changes on behalf of end customers, following strict change management and compliance processes.
  • Identify and deliver platform improvements, including automation to reduce manual effort and human error.
  • Proactively monitor the environment to detect and address issues before they impact service.
  • Support the Technical Lead with escalation management, risk tracking and active oversight of the environment.
