Forward Role Executive are partnering with a large retail business based in Manchester who are looking to add a Head of Digital to their SLT. This business is a leader in their market and are looking for a Head of Digital to lead and inspire their team, to take the business through digital transformation. The role is hybrid with 3 days per week in the office.
Overview of the role
To be accountable for the performance and running of the whole Digital function including P&L management. They are looking to build scalable, productive and high-quality digital products to meet expectations of our digital customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Accountable for the performance and running of the entire Digital function.
- Responsible for the digital P&L including managing budgets, controlling costs and growing revenue.
- Accountable for the strategy of the digital business and influencing the broader business to educate them on digital strategy.
- Lead relationships with external digital businesses.
- Accountable for the build and support of all digital products and future CRM capability.
- Working with the Digital teams and wider business to drive ways of working improvements.
- Accountable for digital marketing to ensure that digital products exceed growth targets through new customer acquisition.
- Set growth objectives for the digital function and manage the team to ensure that these are exceeded.
- Act as the business expert and lead for digital: providing thought leadership to the business and ensuring knowledge is kept up to date by external engagement such as attendance of digital forums and events.
- Engage effectively with the wider leadership team to drive the digital agenda and promote alignment across functions.
- Build a strong, motivated team who have the capability to support and create digital systems as required.
- Lead, coach and develop the digital team, with transparency and enthusiasm, while proactively shaping the best structure to support and scale the digital offering.

- Significant experience in a leadership position, developing and mentoring high performing teams.
- Significant leadership experience of driving digital strategy within a commercial business.
