Overview

I am currently working with a leading Manchester-based retailer who have recently completed a successful ERP migration from NetSuite to Business Central.

Role

Business Central Developer | Microsoft Dynamics 365 | ERP Migration | Retail | Hybrid – Manchester

I am seeking to join the team to take end-to-end responsibility for the platform’s evolution, from customisation and integrations to performance optimisation and automation. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, influencing how the system supports growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform – configuration, customisation, and development
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy modifications and extensions using AL code
  • Work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Manage integrations between Business Central and other business systems (APIs, web services, middleware)
  • Troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and implement enhancements
  • Maintain documentation, best practices, and system security standards
  • Liaise with external partners for upgrades, patches, and releases
  • Provide user training and support where needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Central (or NAV) Developer
  • Proficiency in AL code (and C/AL beneficial)
  • Experience in ERP migrations or system upgrades
  • Knowledge of integration approaches (APIs, web services, middleware)
  • Ability to work independently and engage with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Retail/ecommerce experience is a plus but not essential
