We’re supporting a fast‑paced, high growth business in Bolton with an urgent requirement for an experienced ER Manager to join on a 3‑month FTC. This is a hands‑on role, leading ER activity through a busy period of change, providing expert employment law guidance and managing a small ER team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading complex employee relations cases end‑to‑end (disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, performance)
- Acting as the go‑to employment law expert for managers and senior stakeholders
- Managing, coaching and developing an ER team to deliver a high‑quality service
- Supporting organisational change processes, ensuring risk is managed and best practice followed
- Reviewing and advising on ER policy and process where needed
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a senior ER or ER management role
- Strong, up‑to‑date employment law knowledge – essential
- Demonstrable people management / team leadership experience
- Confident operating in a fast‑paced, pragmatic environment
- Able to hit the ground running in a short‑term contract
