I'm working with a leading player in the retail banking sector, managing assets worth billions and serving hundreds of thousands of customers across the UK. With over 20 years of industry experience, they've built a reputation for resilience and innovation, offering customers secure, accessible financial solutions. They're now looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join their QA function and drive quality across their digital platforms.

Key Skills:
- Solid hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as WebdriverIO, Playwright or Selenium
- Comfortable writing test code in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Foundation or Advanced level testing qualification (ISTQB or equivalent)
- Familiar with common testing tools like JIRA, Confluence and API testing tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Understanding of cloud platforms and modern application architecture
- Experience testing across web and mobile channels
- Able to manage test data and work with mock services
The Day to Day:
- Work within sprint teams to plan and execute testing activities across multiple projects
- Build and maintain test automation suites using modern frameworks and tools
- Write automated tests in JavaScript/TypeScript for web and mobile applications
- Set up and run automated test pipelines in continuous integration environment
- Carry out manual testing where exploratory or complex scenarios require it
- Log, track and manage defects through to resolution
- Review requirements and designs to feed into test approach and coverage
- Run performance tests and support non-functional testing requirements
- Provide test progress updates and metrics to stakeholders
- Support releases and post-go-live activities
