Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support. We have almost 200 services around England and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

About The Role

A new opportunity has arisen to be part of an exciting partnership as part of the Probation Dependency and Recovery service led by Ingeus. Dependency and Recovery services are tailored to the assessed individual needs of 18+ Male Service Users on community orders and post-release licences as part of the community Probation system. The successful candidate will have a regional office location but will be expected to travel to other sites across the region. The post will cover the Cleveland area with delivery sites across Stockton, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Hemlington, Southbank, Redcar and Saltburn. Where possible a delivery location will be based closest to your home address.

Duties:

  • Hold the professional relationship with the Responsible Probation Officer (RO) to support Service Users (SU) through one-to-one and group interventions.
  • Hold 1-2-1 relationship with allocated Service User and single case-holder for continuity of contact.
  • Support participants of low, medium and high complexity cases with one-to-one comprehensive advice.
  • Work closely with the Recovery Guides and Recovery Champions and IOMU.
  • Conduct an initial assessment with all referred Service Users to assess the appropriate level of support required for their personal wellbeing journey.
  • Prepare and agree individual action plans, following initial assessment, and regularly review progress with the SU.
  • Work with Service Users of varying complexity of need and across each Complexity Level (as applicable).
  • Proactively manage a caseload of Service Users, across medium and high levels of need and complexity, in line with the information contained within the Referral provided by the RO.
  • Delivery of 1-2-1 / group interventions and skills training to Service Users to meet identified need(s) to a high-quality standard.
