Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. Join our successful New Vision Bradford service as a Recovery Co-ordinator and become a part of a team committed to helping individuals achieve and maintain abstinence from issues with alcohol and other drugs.
New Vision Bradford is a collaborative service, including key partners Waythrough, Bridge, Project 6 and Create Strength Group, who provides a safe environment for people to develop life skills and confidence, ultimately enabling them to rebuild their lives and become active, contributing members of the Bradford community.
About the role…
The role of a Recovery Coordinator is to manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery plans and treatment, liaising closely with the full range of workers and skills within the service team, including family members and significant others as appropriate.
You will help set goals in recovery and help the service user achieve their goals in a safe and supportive way. Recovery Co-ordination is a diverse and rewarding role.
Key Duties:
- Manage an adult caseload of a Alcohol dependant clients
- Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
- Facilitate and promote individuals’ progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
- Reduce alcohol-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.
- Scripting
- Support the evening clinics.
About you…
In order to be considered for this role you will need:
- 2 years’ full time experience of working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems and/or people with complex and multiple needs.
- Experience of managing a caseload.
- Having a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be desirable but not essential.
- Ability to use your own initiative and be proactive.
