We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 staff and volunteers who run them. Every year, our services support around 125,000 people.

Sexual Exploitation Worker
About The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Sexual Exploitation Worker to identify and support individuals aged 18+ experiencing both substance misuse and sexual exploitation.
The role is county-wide and involves being part of Waythrough’s Family Team, which includes Family Workers, Early Help Intervention Workers, and a Domestic Abuse Worker. Some outreach work is required, and a full UK driving licence is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of sexual exploitation, its links to substance misuse, and the ability to identify risks and safeguarding issues.
You will ensure individuals are connected to appropriate services through referral pathways, delivering a client-centered approach to care and treatment. This role is vital for safeguarding and empowering vulnerable people towards recovery and stability.
Key Duties:
- Promote understanding and raise awareness across sexual exploitation and recovery services of co-occurring issues.
- Collaborate with drug and alcohol recovery services to identify victims of sexual exploitation and facilitate referrals.
- Support local sexual exploitation services to identify individuals needing support from recovery services and develop referral mechanisms.
- Engage in outreach activities with external partner organisations to promote recovery and access to Waythrough services.
