The Opportunity
We're looking for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established specialist vehicle engineering team based in Trafford Park. This is a site-based role working on refrigeration and HVAC systems fitted to commercial vehicles. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of refrigeration units while developing your technical skills through ongoing training and support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration units and HVAC systems
- Diagnosing faults across electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems
- Working on Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration equipment
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Completing F-Gas compliant work
- Producing accurate service reports and job documentation
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the wider engineering team where required
What We're Looking For
- Experience within refrigeration, HVAC, transport refrigeration or a similar engineering environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
- F-Gas Certification (essential)
- Relevant engineering qualification preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
