HGV Technician
Hours: 48 hours per week | 4 on, 4 off | 06:00 - 18:00 The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a successful and growing commercial vehicle maintenance operation.

The Role As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring commercial vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, carrying out servicing, inspections, repairs and diagnostics to keep fleets operating safely and efficiently.
- HGV Technician - Key Responsibilities
- Carry out major and minor repairs to HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles.
- Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance, including inspections and component replacement.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and work collaboratively with the wider workshop team to identify effective repair solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation.
- Complete warranty paperwork where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
- Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency repairs when required. About You To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI).
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or Trailer Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of DVSA inspection standards.
- A full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes.
- IRTEC accreditation is desirable but not essential.
