The Role
Working as part of a busy and experienced workshop team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles. Day-to-day you'll be:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnosing faults and identifying worn or damaged components
- Completing inspections and preventative maintenance activities
- Working closely with other technicians to resolve complex repairs
- Completing all relevant job cards, paperwork and warranty documentation
- Maintaining high workshop standards and ensuring a safe working environment
- Supporting roadside breakdown and emergency repair work when required
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI)
- Previous experience working on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- IRTEC accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential
