Our client, an award-winning multi-franchise Dealer group with branches across England, is looking for an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to join their brilliant team at the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Reading. As an HGV Technician, your role will be to keep our customers’ vehicles on the road through quality, safe, and compliant maintenance. The right candidate will be able to deliver exceptional service to the highest quality.

Day to day, you will be:
- Performing major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz trucks.
- Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services.
- Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
- Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
- Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.
- Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
- Carrying out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
- Completing customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.
Qualification: You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. You will also need the ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
