Our client is seeking an Operations Processing Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of inbound processing and ensure efficient workflow within the operational team. This role will involve managing change requests from the QEC Manager and Operations Manager, resolving day-to-day employee issues, and focusing on efficiency metrics, units per hour (UPH), and the value of stock throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of inbound processing operations, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently and according to organisational standards. Monitor operational performance, focusing on maximizing UPH and stock throughput while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Change Requests Oversight: Collaborate with the QEC Manager and Operations Manager to manage change requests, ensuring timely implementation and evaluation of changes in operations. Provide feedback and recommendations on process improvements based on change requests and operational observations.
- Employee Management: Address day-to-day employee issues and concerns, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members, facilitating their development and addressing performance-related matters as necessary.
- Efficiency and Performance Monitoring: Analyse workflow and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement, focusing on efficiency, quality, and throughput. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, aligning with organisational goals.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present reports on operational performance, presenting key metrics and insights to management. Facilitate clear communication between departments to ensure alignment on operational goals and priorities.
- Shift Management: Work a flexible schedule, including split shifts with potential weekend and evening work required based on shift allocations and operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an operations supervisory role, preferably within a processing or manufacturing environment.
