Salary: 16.00 per hour

Hours: 44 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30
  • Friday: 07:00 - 15:30

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established specialist vehicle engineering team based in Trafford Park. This is a site-based role working on refrigeration and HVAC systems fitted to commercial vehicles. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of refrigeration units while developing your technical skills through ongoing training and support. Whether you're already experienced with Thermo King, Carrier or GAH systems, or you're looking to expand your knowledge within the sector, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a business that invests in its people.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration units and HVAC systems
  • Diagnosing faults across electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems
  • Working on Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration equipment
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Completing F-Gas compliant work
  • Producing accurate service reports and job documentation
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Supporting the wider engineering team where required

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within refrigeration, HVAC, transport refrigeration or a similar engineering environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • F-Gas Certification (essential)
  • Relevant engineering qualification preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
