Our client supports over 7,000 customers with their equipment, training and specialist needs and has over 30 years’ experience, national coverage and a reputation built on quality. Trainers play a critical role in the delivery of safety training solutions for their customers, including Confined Space, Work at Height and Rescue qualifications from recognised awarding bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training and assessments to a diverse client base across multiple sectors, ensuring learners become competent, confident, and compliant with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Specialise in delivering accredited safety training in Confined Space and Work at Height or Streetworks, & Utilities sectors, leveraging industry experience to provide relevant and effective instruction.
  • Conduct training at various satellite locations across the UK, as well as on-site at client premises, ensuring flexibility and consistency in course delivery.
  • Assess and monitor delegate performance against course objectives, providing clear feedback and guidance to ensure safety and competence.
  • Support the planning, development, and continuous improvement of training programs and materials, including the creation of new course offerings aligned with client needs and portfolio growth.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all administrative tasks, including documentation, learner records, and reporting—critical for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry developments, awarding body requirements, and relevant policies—such as health & safety, statutory regulations, employment, and equality law—to ensure continued excellence and regulatory compliance in all training activities.
  • When considered necessary or appropriate by management, you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in Confined Space operations and/or safety training delivery.
  • Possession of a recognised training or instructional qualification (e.g. PTLLS, Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently deliver engaging presentations and structured training sessions.
  • Flexibility to travel as required, including occasional overnight stays, to facilitate training delivery at various client sites and locations across the UK.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the construction, utilities, and civil engineering sectors.
  • Recognised Safety Qualifications – such as IOSH/NEBOSH (desirable).
  • Assessing Qualification – such as CAVA / TAQA (desirable).
  • Understanding of awarding body syllabus – examples such as City & Guilds (desirable).
