Location: Rushden

Salary: to £37,000

Reporting to: Depot Manager

Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm (30-minute lunch break)

Purpose of the Role

To support the Hire Desk Team in efficiently managing the hire and off-hire of plant and equipment, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate administration, and smooth coordination between departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full hire and off-hire process for plant and equipment.
  • Advise Hire Negotiators on pricing and specification details.
  • Prepare and issue accurate quotes for every customer enquiry.
  • Proactively follow up on quotes and support the sales team in securing business.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through regular communication and occasional site visits.

Operational Coordination

  • Liaise daily with the Service and Transport departments to ensure timely deliveries, collections, and maintenance.
  • Manage all recharges accurately and in line with company procedures.
  • Produce and maintain Hire Desk Revenue Reports and Customer Reports.
  • Respond promptly to any hire-related customer queries, ensuring a professional resolution.
