Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Estimating & Internal Sales Team Leader to strengthen their commercial team.

Estimating & Internal Sales Team Leader

The Estimating & Internal Sales Team Leader is responsible for managing the estimating function and coordinating the flow of enquiries from the external sales team.

The role ensures enquiries are reviewed, allocated fairly across the estimating team, priced accurately, and returned to customers within agreed timescales.

The position acts as the link between Sales, Estimating, Operations and Suppliers to maximise customer satisfaction, quotation conversion, and profitability.

Leadership & Coordination Responsibilities

Act as the central coordination point for all incoming sales enquiries.

Review opportunities and ensure sufficient information is available for pricing.

Allocate estimating workload fairly across the estimating team based on capacity and complexity.

Monitor quote progress and ensure deadlines are achieved.

Prioritise urgent and strategic opportunities appropriately.

Provide support, direction, and accountability within the estimating team.

Escalate workload risks and propose solutions.

Promote collaboration between Sales, Operations and Procurement.

Commercial & Estimating Responsibilities

Prepare and review quotations and estimates.

Maintain pricing accuracy and margin control.

Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.

Support sales managers with proposals and customer follow-up.

Maintain CRM records and pipeline visibility.
