Due to continuous growth and expansion, they are recruiting for a HV Engineer Trainer to join the Training team.
If you have a strong background in high voltage engineering and a passion for developing others through the development and delivery of technical training, we would be delighted to hear from you! ***this role is based in West Cheshire with travel to customer sites approx. 2-3 days per month*** About the role:
- Design and deliver Training courses for engineers
- Assess training needs and develop tailored curricula to address skill gaps
- Develop engaging training materials, including presentations, handouts and digital resources
- Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and relevance
- Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to support professional development
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in engineering training
What we'll need from you
- Electrical Engineering qualification and/or proven experience in the T&D industry
- Experience in instructional design and curriculum development
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Competence in delivering training both in-person and virtually
- Ability to engage and motivate learners across varying skill levels
- Coaching and mentoring abilities to support professional growth
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with staff development methods through training and mentoring
- Awareness of industry trends and best practices in engineering training
- Certification in training or instructional design would be a distinct advantage
- Experience in operational, protection or design engineering within the transmission & distribution (T&D) industry would also be considered an advantage
- Flexibility to travel to client sites to deliver training
