Our client is the UK's leading premier car transporter manufacturer, recruiting for the role of Engineering Procurement Assistant. The Engineering Procurement Assistant will support a team of three by maintaining relationships with suppliers and will implement and sustain cost effective solutions. The role will suit a highly motivated person who has a broad skill set and excellent communication skills, alongside manufacturing/engineering experience. This role has long term opportunities to develop.
The Role:
- Purchase of consumables and tooling.
- Maintain database integrity on prices, lead times.
- Expediting orders with suppliers.
- Departmental administration.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders providing updates.
- Using manufacturing/engineering experience to manage and improve non-conformances.
- Consulting with Design team and QA team to assist in value engineering.
Candidate
To succeed in this challenging role, the ideal candidate should have the following skill set:
