You will be part of a dynamic and evolving Accounting, Advisory, Compliance Solutions team that provides an outstanding quality of work and service to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements under FRS102 and the Companies Act. As part of our team of expert advisors who build bespoke solutions across a range of disciplines, according to client needs, from preparing annual statutory and management accounts to comprehensive fully bespoke solutions. Our clients range from entrepreneurial and private clients to larger organisations based both in the UK and internationally from a range of sectors including manufacturing, service industry, education sector and retail.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building strong working relationships with clients, ensuring any problems or requests are dealt with promptly.
- Reporting in a timely and accurate manner to client queries.
- Ensuring standards and procedures maintained by the whole team.
- Mentoring, supervising and training colleagues.
What are we looking for?
- AAT part or newly qualified with excellent broad practical accounting and statutory financial statements preparation experience.
- Experience of the preparation of FRS102 statutory accounts for a variety of businesses.
- Good IT skills, intermediate level of Excel is essential.
- Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen in all situations.
Study Support includes fully funded professional qualification for this role: Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) / Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA). Additional qualification(s): Level 4 & Level 7 apprenticeship. Our supportive culture includes coaching, mentorship, and one-on-one guidance. In addition to funding qualifications, we provide time off to study, and a blended training approach including in person and virtual learning. You will be allocated a buddy before joining who will support you to settle into the team and navigate your first year at Forvis Mazars.
