Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop claim methodologies and prepare R&D tax relief claims for submission to HMRC for Forvis Mazars clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all R&D Tax queries from Forvis Mazars clients and liaise with HMRC on their behalf.
  • Write technical descriptions of clients' projects and prepare documentation to support R&D claims based on UK BIS guidelines.
  • Coach and review work completed by junior staff within your team.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of UK R&D Tax and the preparation of R&D claims.

Skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK R&D Tax and experience in preparing R&D claims.
  • ATT (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Demonstrate broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience.
  • Experience managing client financials, delivering on budgets, and negotiating fees with clients.
  • Experience identifying business development opportunities within tax and potentially other service lines.

This role can be full-time or part-time and is based from our Manchester or Leeds offices.
