About the role
Forvis Mazars LLP is seeking a driven, commercially minded EMEA Financial Modelling Training Business Development Assistant Manager to accelerate the growth of our Energy, Infrastructure & Environment training offering.
This role focuses on sales, client relationship management, and strategic business development, with a mandate to build and maintain a strong pipeline of clients for our project finance modelling training courses and wider business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Retention — Identify, pursue, and secure new client relationships across the EMEA region while nurturing existing accounts.
Achieve monthly sales and activity targets.
- Sales & Pipeline Management — Use CRM tools (e. g., Salesforce) to track leads, manage opportunities, and maintain a healthy, forward‑looking pipeline.
- Customised Training Solutions — Work with technical trainers to design tailored programmes that address client‑specific needs.
- Support the delivery of business development initiatives such as lunch‑and‑learns, webinars, roundtables, and sessions on topics including AI in modelling, sector trends, and emerging modelling challenges.
- Market & Competitor Analysis — Monitor regional market activity to identify new opportunities.
Use insights from client conversations, competitor offerings, and training feedback to shape new course ideas and commercial strategies.
- Client Relationship Building — Represent Forvis Mazars at roadshows, conferences, industry events, and networking forums to expand market presence and build long‑term relationships.
- Feedback & Continuous Improvement — Lead post‑training review meetings, capturing insights to enhance course quality and client satisfaction.
- Cross‑Selling & Service Integration — Leverage training relationships to introduce clients to complementary Forvis Mazars services, including financial model build, model audit, valuations, and advisory.
- Internal Collaboration — Partner with internal teams to align BD strategy with firmwide objectives.
Develop structured account plans and targeted BD campaigns for priority clients, sectors, and geographies.
- Reporting & Documentation — Provide regular updates to senior management on BD activity, market trends, client feedback, and pipeline performance.
- What we are looking for
- Proven track record in sales or business development, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Hub Spot, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to travel across the EMEA region and manage a diverse, multi‑country client portfolio.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages (Spanish, French, German, etc.) are advantageous but not essential.
