Role and Responsibilities
- To manage all day-to-day aspects of a client portfolio, this will include the following:
- Conducting arrival and departure meetings with international assignees.
- Reviewing UK tax returns and dealing with any queries arising.
- Managing modified expatriate payrolls, gross-up calculations, and the year-end process.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing a high level of client service.
- Managing risk appropriately for both clients and the firm.
- Delivering advisory work on your portfolio and assisting more senior members of the team with specific advisory projects.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Relevant expatriate tax/global mobility experience.
- Preferably CTA (or equivalent) qualification (or working towards this).
- Practical knowledge of current GM advisory issues including SRT, FIG, Social Security and PWD post Brexit, Double tax treaties, NRDs, modified payroll, remote workers, PAYE obligations.
- Ability to understand the full range of the firm's service offering and translate that into identifying new work opportunities.
- Commercial awareness and a practical, business-driven approach.
