The Digital Risk and Advisory team is a key part of our larger Technology and Digital Consulting practice comprising over 100 technologists. We specialise in providing expert advice and guidance across a range of domain areas, with a primary focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy and governance, data protection, data governance, technology transformation and effectiveness, and IT assurance. We collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique digital opportunities and challenges, delivering tailored, actionable advice. You will help our clients develop and realise their ambitions to leverage digital capabilities and AI at scale, driving better business outcomes safely. Leveraging Forvis Mazars' industry-leading frameworks and principles, you will have the opportunity to develop, enable and evaluate digital and AI strategies, use cases and corresponding governance programmes for clients across a range of sectors. Our team attracts talent from a range of backgrounds and disciplines from data scientists to digital ethicists, risk management professionals and technology governance practitioners.
As a senior consultant you will support clients on the development of digital and AI strategies, identification and prioritisation of use cases and the development and implementation of end to end responsible AI governance programmes and corresponding lifecycle controls in line with existing and forthcoming regulations as well as ethical and technical leading practices. You will develop and execute assessments to map, measure and evaluate the quality and operational effectiveness of AI governance frameworks. You will develop and refine methodologies to assess systems against a variety of commercial/value criteria.

- Staying abreast of AI and digital technology, regulations and ethical trends (e.g., EU AI act, agentic AI) and providing directional guidance and recommendations around AI processes, tools and solutions that fit client needs and integrate with their existing ecosystem.
- Designing and implementing solution and governance artefacts to govern the design, development, deployment, operation and procurement of systems while upholding key responsible principles.
- Collaborating seamlessly across technical, business, policy, legal and risk audiences at various levels of seniority to deliver holistic, high quality responsible AI and digital capabilities for clients.
- Developing thought leadership on AI and digital topics at internal and external events.
- Supporting the business development process to attract and win new work contributing to proposal writing and pitches in a subject matter expert capacity.
- Understanding clients overall data, AI and technology landscape and business priorities and success measures.
- Monitoring progress, managing risk and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

To qualify for the role you must have:
- Relevant bachelor's degree in computer science, social science, engineering, artificial intelligence, law or a related field.
- Minimum three years of professional experience in consulting or equivalent experience in industry, with specific experience in digital advisory and/or assurance, responsible AI or related fields with a strong understanding of AI and digital technologies and their ethical implications.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards related to digital adoption and AI ethics, privacy and data protection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and digital/AI regulatory requirements and quickly adapt to client demands imposed by technical and regulatory change.
- Communication and critical thinking which are essential to be able to develop and deliver clear insights.
- Ability to work independently and be able to manage and prioritise workload.
Ideally, you'll have one or more of the following:
- Certification, master's degree or PhD related to AI development, responsible AI, AI ethics, data ethics.
- Experience in leading business or IT transformation projects that have supported data science, business intelligence, artificial intelligence unrelated areas at scale.
- Experience developing AI systems in either a design, business or technical capacity.
- Experience with model risk management.
- Experience with agile and/or scrum methods of delivery.
