Responsibilities
  • Work with the National Business Support Manager to develop innovative and efficient standard ways of working.
  • Continually assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures reporting back to the National Business Support Manager.
  • Manage the local Business Support team to provide a high-quality service to the local office.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
  • Reviewing, prioritising and redistributing work where appropriate.
  • Responsible for high quality workflow and productivity of direct reports, and adherence to agreed ways of working, providing appropriate management information as required.
  • Motivate and engage the Business Support team and ensure ongoing dialogue and feedback.
  • Identify training and development areas and work with the National Business Support Manager to address these.
  • Proactively develop effective working relationships with Partners and Managers to understand their needs and offer advice and solutions to problems and improve ways of working.
  • Develop and keep updated the local office page on the firm’s intranet.
  • Assist with the implementation of national strategies at a local level.
  • Maintain the local Business Continuity Plan.
  • Coordinate property and facilities management with the Head of Workplace Solutions and Property & Facilities Manager to include: oversight of local application of Health and Safety policy, first aid and accident reporting, fire wardens, and workstation assessments.
  • Assist with local IT set up for new joiners as required within the office.

  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent consultative skills and ability to influence change and challenge existing procedures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for providing excellent client service.
  • Flexible with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
