Unvented Plumber – Social Housing Repairs

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: £37,500 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Fortus Recruitment are currently working with a leading Social Housing Contractor to recruit an experienced Plumber to join their repairs and maintenance team. We are currently looking for an experienced Unvented Plumber to join a growing maintenance team working within the social housing sector. This is a permanent position carrying out reactive maintenance and repair work within occupied and void residential properties. The successful candidate will be provided with a company van and fuel card and will be expected to deliver high-quality plumbing repairs and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
  • Working on unvented hot water systems
  • Replacing and repairing cylinders, pipework, taps, valves and sanitary ware
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with regulations
  • Providing a professional service to tenants and clients

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Plumber within domestic or social housing environments
  • Unvented Hot Water Qualification Essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
