A growing national facilities and construction services organisation is looking for an experienced Small Works Project Manager to join its team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong construction or trade background who is confident managing projects from the initial site visit and quotation stage through to completion. The role will be based from the Cobham office, with travel required to commercial sites across Reading, High Wycombe and Halton.

The Role

  • Visiting sites to assess works, requirements and potential challenges.
  • Producing estimates, quotations and programmes for small works projects.
  • Managing projects from enquiry through to handover.
  • Arranging materials, labour and subcontractors as required.
  • Preparing and managing RAMS and ensuring health and safety requirements are followed.
  • Carrying out site visits to monitor progress, quality and performance.
  • Keeping clients informed and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Managing project budgets, costs and variations.
  • Resolving issues on site and keeping projects on track.
  • Looking for ways to improve efficiency, service delivery and customer satisfaction.

About You

  • Previous experience in a supervisory, management or project-based role.
  • Good knowledge of construction processes and site operations.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage several projects and priorities at the same time.
  • A commercially aware approach to estimating and cost control.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to obtain the required security clearance.
