We are currently seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Carpenter to join a busy repairs and maintenance team working across social housing properties throughout Manchester. This role involves carrying out a variety of reactive maintenance and repair tasks within occupied and void residential properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with excellent customer service.

A company van and fuel card will be provided, allowing you to travel efficiently between jobs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all aspects of carpentry repairs and maintenance, including:
    • Door repairs and replacements
    • Lock fitting and repairs
    • Skirting, architraves, and kitchen unit repairs
    • Fencing and gate repairs
    • Flooring and stair repairs
    • Window and frame repairs
  • Complete a range of secondary trade duties, including:
    • Basic plumbing
    • Patch plastering
    • Tiling repairs
    • Painting and decorating touch-ups
    • General building maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and determine effective repair solutions.
  • Complete reactive maintenance work within agreed service levels.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate job records using handheld devices or paperwork as required.
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to tenants at all times.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Multi-Trade Carpenter within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs environments.
  • Strong carpentry skills with the ability to undertake additional trade works.
  • Experience working in occupied properties.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • CSCS Card (desirable).
