Design/Technical Manager Property Services & Construction Up to £80,000 PLus Package Our Client, a national construction contractor, are currently seeking a Design/Technical Manager to join their pre construction division. As a business, they are going currently delivering construction, cladding remediation, planned maintenance & retrofit contracts across the UK. They typically deliver on large stand along projects and long term partnering frameworks with private clients and housing associations. The successful candidate will need to have high standards and expectations and they need to be people focused, be able to get results through building relationships and creating an environment where people can thrive. Be Able to create good relationships with clients, make sure they are aware of their responsibilities and reduce the impact of client delays. Lastly, this person needs to be a driver and be able to lead from the front. Key responsibilities will be: Be our technical lead on all PCSA's. Manage the design and technical process from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring information is coordinated, buildable, compliant, and issued in line with the programme. Work closely with the design team to set out clear expectations at the onset of the PCSA through design deliverables schedules. Set clear expectations on information release schedules with deadlines and drive progress ensuring key milestones are met on the programme. Review drawings, specifications and design proposals for building regs compliance, buildability, sequencing, access, and temporary works. Working closely with our Senior Document Controller to ensure compliance with Viewpoint in terms of design workflows, reviews/approvals and general information management. Develop and maintain the design programme, ensuring surveys, approvals, technical submissions, samples and construction information are delivered on time. Be the driving force behind the focus and key outcomes of the Design Team Meetings. Working closely with our appointed Lead Designer and BR-PD to effectively deliver on the requirements set out within the PCSA. Working closely with the operational teams, support the development of the construction programme, stage 2 cost plan, quality plan (ITPs) and procurement strategy. Work closely with our BR-PD to ensure compliance with the Procedural Regulations for Higher-risk Buildings; ensuring Gateway 2 submissions are both compliant and to a high standard and managing the golden thread through to Gateway 3.
