Our client, an established and rapidly growing contractor who operate nationally, are looking for an experienced Head Of Commercial to join their property services division. They currently deliver day to day construction & property services for local authorities and housing associations nationally. Contracts are typically responsive repairs, planned maintenance, retrofit and fire safety projects.

Within this role you will be managing a diverse portfolio with a value of £50m per annum. With a very strong reputation, they are growing around the UK. This is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long term security and career prospects.

This role is to join the commercial department for the property services division. My client are ideally looking for someone with 5 years experience as a Commercial Manager, however they would consider an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Cost planning
  • Closing out and Setting up contracts commercially
  • Manage a team of 3-4 Senior quantity surveyors and their commercial teams
  • Liaise with operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
  • Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
  • Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
  • Approve sub-contractors & supplier payments
  • Attending & Chairing progress meetings with clients
  • Regular on site P&L with operational leads
  • Cash flow management
