We are currently recruiting for an experienced Kitchen Fitter to work on ongoing social housing refurbishment projects for an established maintenance contractor. The work is due to start from 1st September, with a minimum of five weeks' work available and the potential for ongoing work. The aim will be to complete around two kitchens per week.

Duties:

  • Strip out existing kitchens
  • Isolate plumbing where required
  • Fit kitchen units, doors, worktops and associated components
  • Complete all carpentry aspects of kitchen installations
  • Complete tiling where required
  • Work to set specifications and maintain a high standard of finish
  • Complete around two kitchens per week
  • Work independently across multiple properties

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Fitter
  • Strong carpentry skills
  • Own tools required
  • Own transport essential to start
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Social housing, voids or refurbishment experience preferred
  • Asbestos Awareness required - internal training can be provided if needed

Details:

  • Start date: 1st September
  • Minimum 5 weeks' work
  • Up to £190 per day
  • Self-employed basis
  • Rate can be reviewed depending on performance
  • Government minimum mileage contribution
  • Van and fuel card may be provided following a performance review
