Fortus Recruitment Group Limited are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs and maintenance industry. An established social housing contractor is looking for 2 experienced Carpenter Multis to join their team working on void properties in and around Basingstoke. This is initially a temporary opportunity, with the potential for the right candidates to move into a permanent position with the company.
The role will involve a mixture of carpentry and general multi-trade works within empty properties, with all materials delivered directly to site.
The Role:
- Carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance within void properties
- Complete first and second fix carpentry works
- Undertake general multi-trade works including basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling and decorating
- Complete repairs and remedial works to bring properties up to standard
- Diagnose issues and complete works to a high standard
- Work independently within properties
- Travel directly from home to the property and home again each day
- All materials will be delivered directly to the properties
What We're Looking For:
- Strong carpentry background with good multi-trade skills
- Experience carrying out repairs within social housing, property maintenance or void properties
- Competent across a range of trades, particularly basic plumbing, plastering, tiling
