We are seeking an experienced Roofing Surveyor to join our growing team covering East London and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have previous surveying experience, strong knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates) codes, and ideally come from a roofing background.
You will be responsible for carrying out detailed site surveys, diagnosing roofing issues, preparing specifications of work, and ensuring repairs and projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct roofing inspections and site surveys across residential and commercial properties
- Identify roofing defects, causes of leaks, and required remedial works
- Prepare detailed survey reports, quotations, and scopes of work
- Accurately raise works using SOR codes and pricing schedules
- Liaise with clients, tenants, contractors, and internal teams
- Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor ongoing roofing works and provide technical support where required
- Attend client meetings and site visits as necessary
- Previous experience as a Surveyor within construction, maintenance, or roofing
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of SOR codes
- Roofing background highly desirable
- Ability to identify roofing defects and recommend appropriate solutions
- Good knowledge of flat and pitched roofing systems
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- NVQ or relevant qualification in Roofing, Construction, or Surveying
- SMSTS / SSSTS
- Asbestos Awareness
- Experience working within social housing or reactive maintenance sectors
