We are currently working with a well-established housing provider who are looking to recruit an experienced Multi Trade Operative on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable organisation delivering essential repairs and maintenance within residential properties, with strong earning potential and long-term security.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance works across carpentry, plumbing and other wet trades
- Working on both occupied and void residential properties
- Diagnosing faults and completing first-time fix repairs where possible
- Undertaking additional multi-trade works such as basic plastering, decorating and general repairs
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety requirements
- Managing workload effectively, planning jobs and ensuring materials are available
- Using handheld devices to update and close jobs in real time
- Providing excellent customer service when working in tenanted properties
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative
- Time served or relevant qualification in carpentry, plumbing or wet trades
- Unvented hot water (G3) qualification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing, grounds works and wet trades
- Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation and procedures
- Experience of installations, maintenance and repairs obtained within the industry
- Experience using handheld devices e.g. tablets
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Experience within social housing or similar residential environments desirable
- Full UK driving licence
