Up to £54,000 Plus Package
Our client, an established maintenance contractor based in the South East, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division. They are one of the largest housing associations in the UK and deliver day-to-day responsive maintenance, construction, and planned maintenance to housing stock across the country. This role is to join the commercial department for the property services division.
My client is ideally looking for someone with 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor; however, they would consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a step up.
You would be responsible for an assistant quantity surveyor and report directly to the commercial manager.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Cost planning
- Closing out and setting up contracts commercially
- Strong knowledge of SOR codes
- Liaising with the operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
- Reconciling cost/value reports & profit forecasts
- Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
- Approving sub-contractors & supplier payments
- Attending & chairing progress meetings with clients
- Regular on-site visits
- Overlooking P&L with operational leads
- Cash flow management
