Fortus Recruitment are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs & maintenance industry. We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority. We are looking for an experienced Working Supervisor to join a growing team covering Bedford, London, and surrounding areas. This is a long-term opportunity overseeing fire protection works across MOD barracks, schools, hospitals, and other public sector buildings.
The ideal candidate will come from a joinery background with experience in both fire doors and passive fire protection.
Duties Include:- Supervising site teams and day-to-day operations
- Carrying out and overseeing fire door installations and remedial works
- Supporting passive fire protection and compartmentation projects
- Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Maintaining compliance with fire safety regulations and site procedures
- Liaising with site management, clients, and operatives
- Previous supervisory experience within fire protection works
- Ideally experienced in both fire doors and passive fire protection
- Strong joinery background
- Valid CSCS Card
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification
- Clean DBS check
- Good communication and organisational skills
Location: Bedford, London & surrounding areas
Rate: £220 - £250 per day
Package:- Company van provided
- Fuel card included
