We are currently working with a leading maintenance contractor who have a vacancy for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team on a full-time PAYE basis, based in the Chelmsford office. This is a key role within the business, requiring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and proven contract management experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical compliance, maintenance, and planned works programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and delivering domestic and communal EICR programmes.
- Working with the NHF Schedule of Rates, maximising revenue opportunities through effective application and build-up of available rates.
- Managing AICO fire alarm installations.
- Overseeing general electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes.
- Preparing and reviewing quotations using Schedule of Rates.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Managing operatives, subcontractors, and project delivery to achieve performance and quality targets.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Electrical Contracts Manager or similar management role.
- Strong understanding of domestic electrical compliance and testing programmes.
- Relevant Qualifications - 18th Edition/2391/2394/2395/NVQ Level or City and Guilds.
- Excellent commercial, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
