Plumber – Social Housing Location: East London Rate: £21–£22 per hour CIS Employment Type: Full-time Vehicle: Company van and fuel card provided About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a well-established social housing contractor, carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across residential properties throughout East London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plumber looking for consistent, long-term work with competitive rates, a company van and fuel card provided. Key Responsibilities Carrying out responsive plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties Diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults efficiently Repairing and replacing taps, toilets, sinks, baths and other sanitaryware Carrying out repairs to pipework, valves, waste systems and water supplies Investigating and repairing leaks, blockages and water-related issues Replacing faulty components and fittings Completing minor remedial and maintenance works as required Working from a daily schedule and completing jobs within required timescales Providing a professional and courteous service to residents Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Completing job sheets and updating work information using a PDA/mobile system where required Ensuring all works are completed in line with relevant health and safety standards Requirements Previous experience working as a Plumber, ideally within social housing or property maintenance Strong plumbing and maintenance skills Experience carrying out responsive repairs in occupied residential properties Good knowledge of domestic plumbing systems Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs independently Good communication and customer service skills Ability to manage a daily workload and work to deadlines Full UK driving licence Own basic plumbing tools Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds plumbing qualification or equivalent is desirable What's on Offer £21–£22 per hour CIS Company van provided Fuel card provided Consistent work with an established social housing contractor Long-term opportunity Work primarily across East London Regular responsive repairs and maintenance work Opportunity to join a professional and experienced maintenance team If you're an experienced Plumber looking for a long-term opportunity within social housing, we'd like to hear from you
