About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor, working across properties throughout East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent work, competitive rates and the use of a company van and fuel card.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
- Completing a range of multi-trade works to a high standard
- General carpentry and joinery repairs
- Basic plumbing repairs
- Tiling, patching and making good
- Plastering and decorating
- Repairing doors, locks, fixtures and fittings
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Providing a professional service to residents and clients
- Completing jobs using a PDA/mobile system and updating records where required
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative, ideally within social housing or property maintenance
- Strong practical skills across multiple trades
- Good knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Own basic hand tools
- Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
