We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Carpenter to join a well-established social housing contractor on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a reputable company that offers a competitive salary and a great benefits package.
Working across occupied social housing properties throughout Bedfordshire, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance works while delivering a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry repairs both 1st and 2nd fix
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs
- Undertake painting and decorating works
- Patch plastering
- Basic tiling
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues while providing excellent customer service
- Complete relevant job documentation accurately
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing, property maintenance, or a similar environment
- Competent across a range of trade disciplines, particularly carpentry, plumbing, decorating, and basic brickwork
- Experience working in occupied properties
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
