An established property services contractor is looking for an experienced Electrician to join their growing team working in and around Guildford. This is a permanent role offering stability, varied work and the opportunity to work on a long-term social housing maintenance contract.
The Role:
- Carry out electrical testing and inspection works within occupied and void residential properties
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults and complete reactive maintenance repairs
- Undertake domestic rewires, consumer unit upgrades and electrical installations
- Carry out electrical works to kitchens, bathrooms and domestic heating systems
- Respond quickly to emergency and reactive repair requests
- Complete all works to a high standard with a right first time approach
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements
- Keep tenants updated on progress and planned works
- Complete accurate job records where required
- Participate in an out of hours call out rota
What We're Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2382 Wiring Regulations qualification
- Experience working within social housing, responsive repairs or building maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Self-motivated with good workload management abilities
- Professional and customer-focused approach
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check
- Good understanding of current electrical regulations and health and safety procedures
Desirable:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Social housing maintenance experience
