Fortus recruitment are currently looking to recruit an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our growing team working across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The role involves carrying out reactive maintenance and repairs within occupied and void social housing properties. The successful candidate will be confident working across a range of trades and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out reactive maintenance repairs within social housing properties
- Completing a variety of multi-trade tasks including:
- Carpentry repairs
- Basic plumbing works
- Wall and floor tiling
- Patch plastering
- Internal decorating
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean and professional working environment
- Providing excellent customer service to tenants and clients
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative
- Strong skills across carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating
- Experience working within social housing or reactive maintenance environments preferred
- Full UK driving licence required
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
