We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a reputable company that offers a competitive salary and a great benefits package.
Working across occupied social housing properties throughout Bedfordshire, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance works while delivering a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fencing repairs and new fence installations.
- Complete basic brickwork repairs.
- Undertake painting and decorating works.
- Perform carpentry repairs, including:
- Skirting board installation and repairs.
- Floorboard repairs.
- Internal door fitting and adjustments.
- Carry out gutter repairs and general external maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues while providing excellent customer service.
- Complete relevant job documentation accurately.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing, property maintenance, or a similar environment.
- Competent across a range of trade disciplines, particularly carpentry, fencing, decorating, and basic brickwork.
- Experience working in occupied properties.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A positive and professional approach to customer service.
