Our client, a family-run Joinery business, are currently looking for a supervisor. They have recently won several new contracts in their division and as such they are looking to add to their team.
On a day-to-day basis, you will act as an integral part of the operational team and carry out the following duties:
- Working supervisor - out on the road, can carry out jobs if necessary
- Looking after 1-2 fitting teams
- Checking snags
- Sign off after works have been completed
- Updating their system (fieldwire system)
- Conduct Regular toolbox talks with the team
- Helping the team out with shop fits and refurbing timber window
- Monthly Van inspections
- Ensure compliance within the company following company policies and procedures
- Health and Safety compliance maintained
- Allocation of maintenance tasks and ensuring tasks are getting completed effectively and efficiently
- Positive attitude towards work and to work in a growing business
- Team KPIs, Managing inventories
- Liaising with upper Management on what are current companies targets and goals
- Lead point of contact for maintenance staff to direct to
You will need:
- CSCS card
- Professionally qualified person or SMSTS or SSSTS
- Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness, Manual handling (can be completed online)
- Clean driving license
- First Aid
- Previous experience managing labour-based activities (preferably within the construction industry) as a foreman/ be able to hold toolbox talks
- Experience in Carpentry
- Experience with timber windows
- Experience supervising and running of contracts on site so work is completed on time, to required quality and cost effectively
- Planning, set up and visit sites to check production and controls
