Fortus Recruitment are currently recruting for MultiTrade Operatives to join a social housing contractor paying £160 to £180 per day working across Essex with a company van and fuel card supplied. You will carry out a wide range of daytoday responsive and planned maintenance works within occupied social housing properties. You will work independently and as part of a wider team, completing repairs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You will be customerfacing, so professionalism, reliability, and respect for residents' homes are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive and planned maintenance works within social housing properties
- Undertake a variety of trades, including (but not limited to):
- Carpentry
- Plumbing (basic)
- Plastering (patch repairs)
- Tiling
- Flooring repairs
- Painting & decorating
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and completed on first visit where possible
- Work in occupied properties, maintaining a polite and professional manner at all times
- Adhere to health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Accurately complete job records and communicate updates to the office team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a MultiTrade Operative, ideally within social housing
- Strong skills across multiple trades
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Professional and customerfocused approach
- Full UK driving licence
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience working in social housing or tenantoccupied properties is highly desirable
- Trade qualifications or timeserved experience beneficial
- Knowledge of responsive repairs and voids work advantageous
