Fortune is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our London team. This role is key to supporting the growth of our UK and European business. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and helping to deliver against quarterly and annual sales goals and anything directed by the management. Working closely with colleagues across the UK and Europe, and alongside our marketing teams in London, Asia, and New York, you'll help develop compelling proposals and support the delivery of tailored commercial solutions for clients.

- Deliver accurate weekly sales forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Close large, multi-platform, and strategic deals that contribute to company growth.
- Conduct impactful client meetings, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business challenges and opportunities.
- Develop and execute client retention strategies that maximise renewal and upsell potential.

- Maintain an organised CRM system (Salesforce), tracking all interactions, follow-ups, and deal progress with precision.
- Develop expert-level knowledge of our media solutions, articulating their business impact with confidence.

- Use data-driven storytelling and audience insights to craft persuasive proposals that drive client buy-in.

- Pinpoint and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities, maximising client lifetime value.

- Demonstrate a bias for action, taking ownership of targets and driving momentum in every deal.
Your Experience & Attributes
- A proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the media/publishing sector.
- Around 3-4 years of experience in Corporate sponsorship sales and media sales, with expertise in digital media, custom content, print, and event sponsorships.
- Exceptional communication & negotiation skills, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
- A highly organised, results-driven approach, ensuring deals move swiftly from prospecting to closing.
- Strong analytical skills, using data to make informed sales decisions and improve client strategies.
Requirements
- Availability to work in the London office 3 days a week.
- Must have authorisation to work in the UK.
Compensation Range
Base pay: £55K + Quarterly commission starts from 5% to 8% on the realised revenue brought in. The OTE is expected to be around: £100K-120K for a top performer.
