We're looking for an experienced Product Compliance Engineer to join our Compliance & Testing team, supporting the successful commercialisation of products across EMEAA markets. This is a highly impactful role where you'll work at the intersection of engineering, regulation, and product development, ensuring products meet all required legal, regulatory, and certification standards across multiple regions. You'll collaborate closely with engineering teams, external test houses, and regulatory bodies to enable product launches and maintain ongoing compliance. Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Product Certification

  • Ensuring all products meet mandatory legislative and regulatory requirements across relevant markets (e.g., LVD, EMC, RED, ErP, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, UK PSTI, EU Cyber Resilience Act)
  • Managing third-party testing, certification, and approvals across EMEAA regions
  • Creating and maintaining technical files to support CE/UKCA marking and product compliance

Engineering Collaboration & Design Compliance

  • Working closely with product engineering teams on material selection, design analysis, and performance validation
  • Defining compliance specifications and ensuring requirements are communicated to internal teams and suppliers
  • Supporting design decisions to ensure compliance is built into products from concept stage

Documentation, Audits & Governance

  • Preparing, managing, and maintaining compliance documentation, including Declarations of Conformity
  • Participating in third-party audits of manufacturing sites, suppliers, and test labs
  • Ensuring marketing collateral accurately reflects compliance listings and certifications

Change Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Managing product changes driven by compliance requirements, including Engineering Change Requests
  • Monitoring changes in legislation and standards, providing guidance and updates to internal teams
  • Supporting the development and implementation of global compliance processes and best practices

External Representation & Industry Engagement

  • Representing the business within industry bodies and regulatory forums (e.g., BMA, BEAMA)

Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in product compliance, approvals, or regulatory engineering
  • Strong knowledge of product compliance regulations and standards across relevant markets
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Understanding of mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and electronic design principles
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a solution‑focused mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for learning and developing expertise
