Fortress Recruit is working with a specialist defence engineering business to recruit an In-Service Support Engineer based on their site in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical engineering background who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction and coordinating support activity, acting as the first point of contact for customer technical enquiries across naval and maritime systems used globally.
- Act as the first point of contact for technical issues, defect reports and support enquiries
- Coordinate UK and overseas field engineer visits for repairs, upgrades, surveys and emergency support
- Ensure engineers have correct documentation, equipment and technical information before deployment
- Liaise with customers, engineers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure support activities are delivered on time
- Support FAT, STW, HAT and SAT activities
- Assist with technical documentation, service manuals, MoD paperwork and reporting
- Maintain support trackers, customer feedback logs and product update records
- Support obsolescence management and release technical notifications to customers
HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering
Previous engineering support, field service or technical coordination experience
Electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering knowledge
Defence, marine, aerospace or other regulated industry experience
