Fortress Recruit are working with a leading defence engineering and manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of 2x Electrical Product Support Engineers (standard and senior level) to join their growing Production Engineering team. As Product Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on technical support across manufacturing, supporting complex electro-mechanical products throughout the production lifecycle. You will play a key role in resolving product and process issues, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across quality, cost, and delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to engineering, operations, quality, and project teams
- Investigate and resolve product and manufacturing issues through root cause analysis
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including engineering change requests
- Support the delivery of technical outputs in line with agreed schedules and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and productivity
- Assist in driving continuous improvement and process standardisation
- Support new product introduction and lifecycle engineering activities
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in product support, manufacturing, production, or design engineering
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills within engineering environments
- Experience supporting complex electro-mechanical products
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CREO
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
- Eligibility for SC clearance (5 years' UK residency without visa or sponsorship requirement)
