Fortress Recruit is now looking for an experienced Contract Quality Engineer for an immediate 2-month contract inside IR35. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy quality team, ideal for someone with aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing experience who can quickly integrate into the business and make an immediate impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage customer complaints, investigations and 8D/root cause analysis
  • Produce FAIRs in accordance with AS9102 requirements
  • Support PPAP activities and contribute to APQP projects
  • Conduct internal, supplier and customer audits to AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Quality Management System activities
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal manufacturing teams

To be considered, you'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing
  • Aerospace, defence or other highly regulated industry experience
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 and AS9102
  • Experience with FAIRs, PPAP and quality investigations
  • Strong 8D and root cause analysis skills
  • The ability to work independently and hit the ground running

This is a full time, site based role (37 hours per week) in the West Midlands, offered as a 2-month contract Inside IR35, paying a competitive hourly rate with flexible working arrangements.
